SANTA MONICA CONTEMPORARY CHOIR

SANTA MONICA CONTEMPORARY CHOIR  is a dynamic and social singing group designed for adults who love to sing and perform. This class brings singers together to create beautiful harmonies while collaborating with the Guitar Ensemble class for exciting group performances. Whether you're an experienced vocalist or just enjoy singing for fun, this class offers a welcoming and supportive environment to express yourself musically.

More than just a choir, this is a community—a place to connect, make new friends, and share the joy of music. Through contemporary repertoire and engaging rehearsals, participants will build confidence, refine their vocal skills, and experience the thrill of performing together.

No auditions or sight-reading ability is required but we do ask that all singers arrive being able to match pitch comfortably —just bring your passion for singing and a willingness to have fun!

Students will be given sheet music and lyrics sheets as well as practice recordings to practice at home.  Students are expected to prepare what was taught at home and arrive the next week ready to move on.  This is all in preparation for our friends and family singalong show, at which students have the opportunity to perform their class repertoire in front of friends and family at the Cloverfield Restaurant in Santa Monica.

With incredible success with our children's a cappella group, Squad Harmonix,  we have been requested by many to start an adults version, so here we are! This is the first session as we test the class out at our academy but we are excited to get started and believe it to be a fantastic addition to our program.
